Max is passionate about making amazing games for the best companies in the world. He has 15 years of experience in the industry, including 5 years of gameplay programming in C/C# and 10 shipped AAA titles. The franchises he has worked on have shipped 10s of millions of units and two games received metacritic scores above 90 percent.
Max is passionate about leading design of large games and systems including the unified Halo experience on Halo: The Master Chief Collection, The Champions Bundle DLC for Halo 4, and the skirmish mode for Age of Empires Online. Max also enjoys driving design in core player systems, having brought Mario's controls to life in Mario vs. Donkey Kong. He also brought the monsters and world objects to life in Metroid Prime: Hunters. Max tuned the cameras, powers, and weapons for Destroy All Humans!: Path of the Furon and The Agency. He has designed and tuned multiplayer modes, maps, and gameplay in Halo 4, The Agency and Age of Empires Online. Max has developed mastery with a variety of game engines and tools including custom editors he coded and designed for Mario vs. Donkey Kong and Metroid Prime: Hunters, UnrealEngine, and the Age of Empires editor.
Max is also a passionate gamer who has played over 500 games to completion. He won the 2nd Magic: The Gathering Junior Pro Tour.
